Profound, huh? Well, what inspired me to make this statement is really something so mundane as cleaning the flat. I've been at it the whole week. I'm almost through. I just have to do the 2 bathrooms and the floor and I can lay me down to rest. It's just past 7pm and it's almost dark (here in SG, the sun sets at 7pm or just about). I have a couple of lights on in the house, my random player's playing Baby Grand by Billy Joel and Ray Charles, and I'm walking around the house feeling everything with my hand... the chairs, the tables, the walls, the tv set, the computer... everything's dustless, smooth and shiny. I found myself smiling in the end and thought I'd write about it... hehe
Today I did the kitchen. I found this cleaning agent labeled 'Magic Clean' and it really works like magic. It's the toughest agent against grease and grime that I've ever discovered. Believe me, I didn't even have to scrub, except over the tough spots. (Our burners are embedded into the kitchen counter and the periphery is prone to be greasy and sticky if you don't clean it well regularly.) I just had to wipe it over with a sponge and the grease came off like soapsuds. I used to clean the kitchen with 'Ajax'. I had to be happy with it even if it didn't really smell all that good and I had a hard time scrubbing. Back in the Phils, I would use Domex but it isn't available here in SG (taka pa). I would buy a lot whenever I go home for a visit but these things do run out... I guess that's why they're called consumables... eh?
Anyway, I chanced upon 'Magic Clean' cause I ran out of Domex and the bathrooms were due to be cleaned. I was planning to buy the agents with the 'Dettol' brand... I believe it's the most popular antimicrobial agent available here and they've got everything from soap bars, handsoap and yes, cleaning agents. But it wasn't available in the supermarket and I picked up 'Magic Clean' thinking I was settling for second best. Turns out I wasn't. It's a really great find!
So why am I blabbering about this like it's going to feed the whole of Africa? That's for me to know and I don't give a hoot if you never find out why.
I'm done with this post anyway and you can't threaten me not to continue reading it.... hehe!
Now my problem is, when we get back to the Phils for good, how am I going to get hold of 'Magic Clean' to clean my kitchen?
