Watched 'Gangs of New York' yesterday.



So guess what I did at the theater this time... not much, just kept my face half-hidden half the time... hehehe. There was too much violence in the movie. The story itself is quite ordinary... period film, gang wars, killings. But like I said to Papa when we got out of the theater, it was quite disturbing. To see people live in those circumstances... hell, to see people live that way at all. Such a different time and place indeed. With all that's happening in the world right now, still makes me feel glad that this self (cause maybe I had a former life in that time) is right here, right now. It was definitely white or black, live or die... nothing in between, and not much chance of hope.

But don't mind me Mr. Scorsese... that's just me talking.
