Yeah... it was my birthday yesterday and I gave a full 24 hours for people to remember... so now let's take a poll.

Papa's been greeting me and singing me the birthday song since last week. He bought me a watch over the weekend for my present.

Ate Lani greeted me when I called home last Monday.

Diko called at 6:30 am and had his sons, my nephews, line up and greet me before they went off to school.

Darlene sent me an email greeting me, said they also sent a card and called up later in the evening to greet me personally. When we were in the Phils., she gave me my present which was a choker and bangle set of semi-precious stones.

Elena sent me an electronic greeting card, so did Eileen.

Mommy called up later in the afternoon and sent Daddy's greetings too. She gave me a pair of beaded slippers for my present. She also said she cooked spaghetti on account of my birthday, even if I was miles away. That's my mom... damn, she's gonna make me cry...

Antonia's been trying to call me since Tuesday but the phone's busted so she wasn't able to get through. This morning I got an email from her with her greetings.

Papa told me this morning that Lolet sent me a greeting yesterday through SMS.

Lastly, Gary sent me an email about noon greeting me on my birthday. Well, actually he forgot and I had to remind him, and it almost doesn't count if you have to remind people of your birthday. But for his case I'm making an exemption. He's had a really bad start for the year... what with his wedding all prepped up for March, only to fold up at the last minute cause his fiancee's father died. Poor guy...

Now what does all these tell me?... It tells me there's a handful of people who will never forget me and that I know a lot of 'old' people who can't remember a tad. And what does that make me?... It makes me 39 years old. Does that make me old?... Naaah... sure does not. I remembered my birthday, didn't I?... teehee...
