He's home! He's back with me!! Sus, ang aircon, di kaya ang init... ng panahon... hehe..:)

Tonight is the eve of our 12th anniversary. It’s been a good 12 years… good because… well, I do have my 100 reasons. So maybe I’ll just run down through them.

1. he’s guwapo (Fidssy and Antonia, that means handsome… heh)
2. he’s big… well he’s 5’10” and wears size 11 shoes… what do you think was I talking about?
3. he’s barrel-chested and he’s even got downy hair on his chest… sooo cute!
4. he’s got a butt that I think Jah would love to swap
5. he’s the only man I personally know who looks good with make-up… I did it once and I even have the picture to prove it… hehe
6. good speaking voice
7. he’s not so dark… uhmm, not anymore since he stopped golfing
8. he carries his clothes well (I think he doesn’t even know this)
9. he’s got nice feet (I’ve told him lots of times)
10. he’s got really soft hair for a guy
11. he’s got just enough brains to sustain interest but not too much to bore you stiff
12. he’s charming if he wants to be
13. he’s funny even when he doesn’t want to be
14. he’s always sweet
15. he sings well
16. seriously?... I think his bosses are lucky cause they will never be shortchanged. He always gives 101% to the job.
17. he will never sell out… Once, he risked getting the ire of his boss because of a friend. You know what he told me? ‘Hindi naman tayo ganun makipagkaibigan e…’
18. his thirst for knowledge is enviable
19. yes, he has his little crude habits too, but they only serve to make him more endearing
20. he chooses the time and place to be overbearing… most of the time he keeps to himself
21. he’s a good son
22. he’s a good brother
23. he’s a good uncle
24. you never would have guessed but he’s also a good lolo… yes, may apo na siya sa pamangkin… hehe
25. he’s a good friend
26. he’s never fussy
27. pag umutang ka sa kaniya at wala siyang pera, iuutang ka niya, pero tapos nun, bahala ka pa ren magbayad… hehe… ano hilo?
28. sometimes, he’d surprise you by coming up with nice little poems, simple but quite poignant… if you read his blogs you’d never think it was in him
29. he’s in love with the Philippines… the only love affair I will ever allow
30. he draws crude, funny pictures… the very first one I saw was that of ‘the old man and the C’… haha!... drawn In the pages of one of his college textbooks
31. he loves taking showers
32. he’s naughty enough…
33. he carries his liquor well… He never gets loud or rowdy cause he falls asleep, literally… right on the table, before he gets the chance to make trouble.
34. he loves nature
35. he will rush to take a picture of the sunset
36. all he needs in the morning is cold water and a cup of coffee… it doesn’t get easier for a wife, I tell ya
37. he’s very generous but not to a fault
38. he’s thoughtful
39. he’s very down-to-earth
40. he’s a simple guy… except when you take him to Sim Lim… yung mall dito na puro electronic shops
41. he takes out the garbage
42. on days when he would wake up before I do, he’d surround me with pillows and tuck the sheets, then walk out of the room quietly
43. He was my boyfriend for 3 years before we got married and he never gave me flowers or jewelry… nothing of the sort. 8 years after we got married, he bought me a house and planted a flower garden all around it, all by himself. Now, whenever I’m home, I take my coffee out to the garden where fresh blooms surround me all year long.
44. he respects my space
45. he will stay up with me unless I tell him it’s ok if he wants to turn in ahead of me
46. whenever he’s home, he will follow me around every now and then and steal a hug
47. you know how it feels when you call your loved one and he answers… ‘Yes, my love?’… I do…
48. he treats everything I cook like something that came straight from the Iron Chef’s kitchen
49. I have this terrible phobia of snakes. Whenever the TV guide comes in, he will scan it first to look for pictures of snakes so he can cut them out before I chance upon them. And when the TV is on and he knows a snake will show up on the adverts, he will warn me, ‘Don’t look!’
50. everyday… every single day… whenever he leaves or comes home from work, he will tell me, ‘I love you.’
51. he will call me from work at midday to see how I’m doing and to tell me, ‘I love you.’
52. you know how we ended up getting married? My mom wanted me to stop visiting him at home on weekends… well, most people would actually call it sleeping over… hehe.
53. On one of these visits, he taped a piece of paper at the back of the dress I was going to wear to work. I can’t remember how I found out but I remember we were already out of the house on the way to the bus stop. On the paper was written…’I love the girl wearing this dress.’
54. Once, he spent the night watching me while I slept. In the morning, I discovered that he has scribbled a poem on my planner… something about ‘keeping me safe within these walls’.
55. some unmentionable things he does that makes me sigh… err… smile
56. he does wonders on my website
57. with him, I got a 24/7 free desk help
58. he doesn’t help a lot around the house but if he sees I’m beat, he’d tell me to leave it… and do it some other time… hehe
59. he got me the only pet I’ve learned to love… our minipin, Datu
60. he believes that whatever I set my mind on, I can do… then pushes me to it
61. If ever he has to take friends, colleagues or clients to girly bars, he never asks a girl to join him at the table… or so he says. And honestly, I do believe him. At the very least, he tells me where he’s really been.
62. he took me to my very first rock concert
63. he loves books as I do
64. he loves music as I do
65. he loves food as I do
66. he loves to write as I do
67. he has a strong sense of family as I do
68. he treasures friends as I do
69. he loves good movies as I do
70. he likes staying at home as I do
71. he’s keen on saving up for the future as I am
72. he likes sprucing up our home as I do
73. he loves to draw and I love buying him drawing materials
74. he likes playing computer games less than I do… this is, obviously, to my advantage… hehe
75. he’s left-handed like I am… so we can work on one table and not bump elbows
76. he loves nice-smelling shower gels like I do
77. he likes black shirts as I do
78. his fashion sense is comfort, and so is mine
79. we both think that a comfortable life is enough opulence, anything more is almost vulgar
80. he loves growing flowers and I love watching them
81. he loves coffee as I do
82. he only likes Cadbury’s Fruit and Nut, which means all the rest are mine… hehe
83. we both love to blog
84. I make good bbq marinade and he grills them well… these bbq’s have become a tradition in our parties at home
85. he likes burning incense, I like burning Lampe Berge
86. he likes good pens as I do
87. he likes notebooks with smooth paper as I do
88. he likes very mild fresh scents as I do
89. he likes atypical prints on bed sheets as I do
90. he loves me as I do… hey, what’s wrong with that? I also love him like he does.
91. he taught me patience
92. he taught me perseverance
93. he taught me laughter
94. he taught me… and is still teaching me… to take life easy
95. he taught me humility
96. he taught me optimism
97. he taught me gratefulness
98. he taught me strength
99. he taught me love
100. I can not give him children… ever. That was one of the first things I told him about myself, but he still wanted to marry me. But not once did it ever come up in an argument… not once did he take it against me… and not once did he ever make me feel any less of a person, or of a woman, because of it. If anyone of you will ever be me, in this lifetime or in another, you would know what it is to be a woman… a wife… truly respected by her husband.

100 reasons I say… 100 reasons for staying married for 12 years, and counting. But all it boils down to really is that… he is my life.
