SIMS UPDATE AND SIMS LESSONS... err... SOME LESSONS


Okay so far, all my downloads are running nice and well in my game. I haven't unzipped all of them yet, I'm doing it a little at a time cause I don't want to overwhelm my game again... hehe.

Last night, I was trying out the columns (don't think excel... think balcony support) I've downloaded. I wanted to see how to work them into my houses so I tried my hand in building a second floor, and I learned:

1. that you have to finish building everything in the first floor first before building anything in the second floor, or else nothing will work in the first floor anymore once you've got the second floor built... not the floors, doors, windows... nada.

2. if you don't put the columns first before building the second floor, you'll end up putting them on the second floor balcony, wherein they would be useless and would be so stupidly ridiculous

3. when you command a SIM to go up the stairs, he will disappear from the screen... you have to click the second floor to see him again.

I know, I know... 'you mean you didn't know these things up until now?!?' Rub it in if you must, the thing is, at the rate you're going, you'll probably be bored with it and I am still at the stage of discovery... hehe. So who's got it better then? Pray tell.

One more thing I discovered. See, Papa and I prefer the uncluttered look... we decorate our house minimally. That is partly by choice, partly by necessity... heh. But we do like moving around in a considerable amount of space, with everything having a place of its own, where it can stay without getting in the way of anything else. But now that I'm downloading things for the game, I realized I probably would be a hoarder if I had the means.

Just look at this stats:

surfaces - 253 items
seating - 161 items
decor - 144 items
lighting - 77 items
rugs - 54 items
paintings - 48 items

And that is just a partial list of everything I have. Imagine if these were real to life items!

True, so true. You can't even have enough space for everything if everything was just a file in your pc... heh.

So, my little ones, believe me when I say... you are in whatever situation you're in because God knows it's what's best for you. Just look at me... if I had the means to buy stuff, I'd be insatiable. Now who needs that crap?
