HOW I SPENT MY WEEKEND... BOW

It was a lot of fun. Really, really fun.

Papa and I decided we wanted to watch a movie. But then, Troy was no longer showing, Shrek and Day After Tomorrow (which Christine said was not good) only had morning screenings, which was too early for us. There was Harry Potter, but I wasn't so hot to see it, and there was Punisher (which Leah said wasn't nice either).

Since we were running a little late due to some errands, we opted to pass up on the movie and eat at Mos Burger insted, something we've missed when we were in the Phils. Have you tasted their rice burgers? I especially like their Ebi burger. And their french fries are the best so far.

Then came the time we were to meet with Christine and hubby Ronald. Venue was at this asian restaurant in Lucky Plaza, called GP, where they had the best crispy pata I have had so far. Turns out they frequent the place too, and yes, we both like the same dish. We talked about a lot of things, mostly about Singapore and our experiences here... a true meeting of Pinoys away from home.

EB na naman… hehe

Si fafa Jay, parang di naospital… pa-cute pa rin… hehe?

Ronald and fafa Jay... masasaya kasi busog... hehe

Incidentally, we met up with another blogger last May. Wasn't able to blog about it because I was really going bonkers those days. So I'd like to mention, at this point, our EB with Mari here in Singapore, when we took her for dinner at Marche. She's a lady I truly admire for her strength of character and her no-nonsense way of dealing with life.

Mari and I at the lobby of her hotel, which she said made her feel like she was deep in the woods... hehe

Now back to the main program... heh. By 8pm, we had to bid the nice couple goodnight as we were off to Nona's birthday. It was a fun party, I remember laughing a lot and I haven't done that for as far back as I can remember... the all-caution-thrown-to-the-wind kind of laugh. Thank you guys for inviting us. Really glad we came.

kasi naman, pati umbrella stand sumama sa picture

that's everybody alright... such funny guys

yan na lang ang pwedeng gawin ni Papa, magpapicture

Papa, Nona (the celebrant) and Leah's hubby, Dad... este, Eder

di pa pwedeng uminom si Papa, iced tea lang yang hawak niya… hehe

Galing talagang sumingit ni Leah!

wasn’t able to catch the kiss on film

this picture reminds me so much of the other time at Leah's... the girls sitting around the table where wine bottles abound. Hmmm... a standard thing at these gatherings? hehe

We didn't get to play pictionary and Daphne didn't get to sing. Those were two things I was looking forward to. But then, the laughter more than made up for it.

"It's in the simplest existence,in the humblest company and in the emptiest moments that I learned to appreciate what I had... and find happiness right where I was. I didn't have to reach far and dream big. One can only be as big as one sees oneself. The world will always be bigger still... and God, even more."
